‘Ice Cream Week’ raises over £2,000 for Dream Catcher!

‘Ice Cream week?’, they asked. ‘In November?’, they exclaimed. ‘On the Isle of Man’, they chortled. ‘You’re mad!’, they chuckled. Well, THEY were wrong…

We have (finally!) counted the final bucket and in total Ice Cream Week raised £2045.01! Can you believe it? We are ecstatic! Not only are we an island of hardy people eating ice cream, on the streets, in November, we are also an island of extremely generous people and Dream Catcher can not thank you enough!

Our thanks, of course, go to everyone who donated for an ice cream (including Onchan School, Henry Bloom Noble, Tesco customers & Douglas Police Station) and to the companies that sent their staff out in the freezing cold and bought them an ice cream (Canada Life, KPMG Isle of Man, Barclays Wealth Management & First Names Group) but without doubt the biggest thank you goes to Ian Davison of Davison’s Ice Cream for his enormously generous idea of Ice Cream Week which not just cost him ice cream but also time – Thank you.
